SENIOR PHASE. National 2

  • Preparation of ground for planting.
  • Basic techniques of growing in a vegetable plot.
  • Strimming, weeding, cutting, digging, raking and rolling.
  • Identifying and accessing equipment needed.
  • Eco awareness in school grounds.
  • Designing a sensory garden.
  • Ground maintenance. Roof top garden maintenance.
  • Identifying dress code for work.
  • Self and peer assessment.

IDL. Themed weeks.      

  • The commonwealth games: Make a Commonwealth garden.
  • The Scottish week: Make a Scottish flag out of plants.
  • Health and Wellbeing week:  A study on safety using chemicals in the garden
